Post by: [Blocked] on September 05, 2008, 01:06:49 PM
--7-8-9 Just saw that midway is selling Jewell triggers for the model 70 for less than $125.00. Now that is a great deal for all model 70 owners.

Can you explain what a Jewell trigger is. What are the benifits of having one?

They are super smooth triggers that allow you to adjust trigger pull weight to suit you.

Can you get them for Sako's or is it just for Winchesters?

They have a Timney trigger which is another great after-market product.

Just acquired a winchester 70 in 300 Win Mag.  Will have to look into that, thanks for the info.

an important note! If you ever have to send your rifle back to the manufacture for service be sure to put the old trigger back in. Especially in a Remington, they will replace whatever is in it for a factory trigger at factory weight of pull.

Thanks for the heads up Double D. I would not have known this and would have been upset if I had gotten one back and that happened.

Double D good heads up. I would be pretty upset if that would happen but I guess they have a reason for that. Have you ever heard why?
