Well I picked it up and shouldered it....it fit like a glove and my eye immediately lined up for a clean clear view through the scope....with out any forward weight issues..rock solid....that's all it took....Zos they will soon...ppl think I'm crazy but just figured out what the DEC push for them is...in January a law went through that Felons in NYS can not have a blk powder primer or primitive weapon....Well there goes a whole lot of hunters= $$$$!!!...I mean just the drunk driving felonies a lone would clear out the woods...but crossbows and archery whole other story...they may not want to learn bow hunting ...but this shoots and aims like a rifle....Yep...I'm thinking possible this year...it only makes sense for them.
I won't be giving up my Mission Venture...love it...but would consider switching for bear and turkey....175# draw with a 12+power stroke...would feel a bit more secure for bear now that I'm only shooting 49 #'s

The bill to make the use of crossbows permament in NY has passed the senate is my understanding, remember crossbows were introducted as a 2 year trial only.

Of course Cortland county outlawed crossbows for any hunting @--0--0117

Sorry Zos....looks like 2014...maybe sooner ...they plan on trying again next year....NYS did not handle this issue rt for the get go....IMO...

not safety course...introduced in to big game first and not even allowing in small game....

Had they allowed it for a year or two into small game hunting first..... set up a safety requirements like us bow hunters had to take .....then I believe there would not have been as much contention from them for at least older and disabled hunters...then later archery big game
