sorry, that is a bad feeling i can agree with earlier post they will walk a straight line and then bury up under something i smoked a bird through the chest pass thru he went 200 yards and buried himself under a blowdown thank god i was able to get my bird dog out there he found him quick   real life hunting videos!!

Sorry to hear about that man.  It is always tough but it does happen.  Sounds like you did a great job trying to recover and really did much more than many would have.  Congrats on the effort.  I wish it had paid off for you.

Bowmanraasch, I am so glad to here how hard you looked for your game. It has happened to all of us and I know you got a really sick feeling in your stomach when you couldn't recover that bird. You did everything right but it does sound like your blades didn't open properly. Good luck on your next Tom.
