Wisconsin Madison Hearings a MUST Attend
« on: April 09, 2009, 10:07:17 PM »
For all those that hunt, and spend so much time, effort and $$ doing so, the meeting in Madison is a must attend. We all know that a physical outpouring of support of the hearings and the legislation makes more of an impression than any number of phone calls or e-mails. If you really care about deer hunting, this really will probably be your only chance to actually make a change for the positive. If we fail at this, you will not see another representative put themselves on the spot to take up this issue again. How much are you willing to put your $$ where your mouth is. I know it is inconvenient...that is not of the reps concern. This is were they do business (unfortunately). You can be sure that those who do not agree with you will be there...can you say the same?
There is a groundswell of support by reps in this regard...we should have all the votes, and the paper work is all but complete. But we need as many of you that we can get, on-site in Mad-town. You need not speak, although you will have the opportunity to. The Capital Times has already dragged this legislation and our reps who support us, through the mud. Let us prove them wrong..we will stand up for the resource, ourselves, our children, and the tradition. If we hunters show no physical support at this crucial point, then don't worry about griping next year when the outcome of the season is worse, and every year after that. You will have failed yourself and future generations, and the only ones you will be able to blame is yourself. Tough love is just that...either you get it or you don't.
