HORTON has long been considered the best x-bow, but I'm sure the competition keeps improving, too.  My Horton came with Horton scope--which I wouldn't be without!-- also the quiver is handy and strap is essential.

My equipment is due for update as it's 10-12 yrs old and I'll look at Horton first, as I'im sure there are upgrades since I got mine.

I like the Barnett. Heavier draw weight and longer bolts.

Excalibur is the fastest and most accurate crossbow made. Check out their website:    www.excaliburcrossbow.com.      I shoot the exomag and love it.
I'd rather be hunting

I shoot a TenPoint bow. It is a very smooth shooting crossbow. I have it set up with an Excalibur Vari-Zone scope. When I first purchased the bow, I shot it 3 times and bulls eye. I use my crossbow 90% of the whole hunting season. I fill this comfortable. Check them out!!

Look into an Excalibur crossbow. I have the Exocet 200 and it is plain and simply a great crossbow for taking deer. Go to a bow shop that deals with a few makes and pick them up. I bet you will be sold on the Excalibur. But most importantly you want a crossbow that feels right to you.

I had to go to a Crossbow because I became disabled.  They make many fine crossbows.  I found out it is like everything else, you get what you pay for.  Originally, I went thru a disabled organization and obtained a Barnett Bow.  It was awfully heavy for me, very strong limbs, and was not what I really wanted.  I looked around and saw the TenPoint.  You can spend up to 2,000.00 for a package deal with them.  I compromised and purchased a Parker Terminator with a Red Dot Scope.  I am sure it is not rated the best, but it kills just as good.  They all have good bows.  In my best piece of advice, get the best one you can afford.  Don't forget, they are difficult to cock.  You'll need a string cocker, or at least consider one.  The hand crank cockers are rather slow, noisy, and rather tough to use in a tree stand.  Investigate a lot, spend a moderate amount, practice a lot, and enjoy!   @--0--0101
