Weak at the knees....
« on: March 30, 2009, 10:25:05 PM »
Someone posted this on another site that I am a member of and I had to share it. If this were to happen to me, I would be so weak in the knees I wouldn't be able to walk to my hunting spot....

Nock, I am new to the whole turkey game and that sent shivers up my back. Where were they in Alabama a week ago? I know, there is a time for everything, but I look forward to that time. @--0--0118  Great post and video.

That was awesome.  I have never hit them like that but I have had a lot of birds going all at once.

If I had to bet I would think they are in Kansas with all those birds.  Just a quick note to any new turkey hunters if you do a coyote call to locate birds alot of birds will shut up on you.  Also when they come off the roost they will mainly go the other direction.  Although you may get birds to gobble at you on the roost with this most birds know the danger that comes with the sound.  Still a neat video

It was in Starkville, Mississippi. We don't use coyote calls or preditor calls either. Kind of defeats the purpose. My husband does a crow and owl call by mouth. That are the only locator sounds we use. I can assure you we never got 50 gobbles in response like in the video though.  --7-8-9
