New call
« on: February 07, 2009, 02:02:59 PM »
I've found a guy here in AR that makes some good looking and sounds friction calls.  I just got a Bead Blasted Aluminum over slate in a Spalted Sweet Gum pot with a Cedar striker.

I thought it looked/sounded so good I've got a Bead Blasted Crystal in a Cedar pot on the way.  I told him to match the sound board and striker to the surface with what he thought worked best so I'll have to give ya an update on the finished call.

I'll post a link to his site but if it goes against policy just delete it and I accept the slap on the hand.

I since added one of his cyrstals to the arsenal.  It sounds a bit raspy to me but everybody else seems to think it sounds great so it probably does.  If nothing else it smells great in a cedar pot.  @--0--0137
