Hello I'm just wondering if anyone knows what is going on with Remington. Are they going to be making rifles again? 700 Rem actions are hard to come by.

It is now know as RemArms LLC, but they own the rights to call the guns “Remingtons.

Vista Outdoors is the new owner of the Remington Ammunition Factory located in Lonoke, Arkansas.

RemArms got the gun side.  Both can use the name Remington on their products.

Remington Firearms and Ammunition are now separate companies.

PJ - Thanks for the info....I am a big Remington fan....have many of their rifles from the 660 to the 700....all the Sendero from the 90's and a couple of LTR's....

Yari - Vista Outdoors - at one time was thinking of investing in them but with all the Lawyers involved, thought it would be best to invest in Ruger.....

Always liked the looks of the Remington 600. Wanted one, but prices are at a level that it's hard to justify, just because you want one.

Yari - I know what you mean, back in the 80's and 90's put up the big board on the wall and threw darts at it - anything you could throw darts made you money, but today I am using my Atlanta Base Stocks as my retirement income....LOL....

Louie - I purchased a closet Remington (barrel facing down) from a family who want to sell their father's Remington 660. It had been sitting face down in his closet for years and years, I bought it sight unseen and brought it home, clean it up, had to knock off the surface rust for the end of the barrel, cause it had been facing down for too many years...clean it up and took it to the range....attached is both pics from the first day I shot it at 50 yards then 100 yards...not bad for a old 308 rifle....the year was 2010 when I shot the attach target scans....

it is a short carbine model with its 18.5" barrel and plastic parts...could change it but decided to leave it as close to factory as I could. Also put a period Leupold 2-7X x 33mm great scope, this was the first scope I purchased back in the very early 70's and it cost a whopping $79.95....purchase the model 70A back in 1971 and put the Leupold on it in 72....wow where have the years gone....
