Season done
« on: May 13, 2020, 07:39:26 AM »
I managed to get 1 of my two tags filled this year but got my grandson his two birds. Bugfixer tagged out and he got one for his daughter. It was a tough season because of the early spring weather. Here is a video of my grandsons bird..  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R6almY_tjKg&t=4s

I'd just like to point out that the young man popped both toms with a .410, and at very respectable distances to boot, no stick required to finish the job.  I'm not saying Jake is in the role of teacher here for Grandpa, but the evidence is starting to pile up.  Now, if we could only see a video of Robert's turkey dance we'd be better equipped to make the call on who is the student vs the teacher!   Congrats again to Jake, he's clearly got it going on!!

I've seen the turkey dance in person on multiple occasions, I can attest to accuracy of Jakes rendition.    --099-780 --099-780

The turkey dance is an important aspect of paying proper respect to the animal taken while losing yours in the process. Its vital in ensuring that future successes come your way. MI_Bowhunter has not only witnessed this ancient and mysterious tradition but has also been properly trained in its procedure and has himself, participated in a satisfactory manner. While Jake's version emphasizes the youth and exuberance reflecting his 9 years of age, the 54 year old version I perform shows more subtle and reflective moves as well as various "Made up on the spot" lyrics, only acquired from age and experience. Also, Jake's version might dislocate the teachers hip if attempted to perform without proper training and stretching.
