Great choice. I have seen ammo for the 9mm cheap lately so that means lots of shooting.

Dave - Congrats are in order....but please list the steps you have to go through in order to acquire the Glock 17, nice piece....wish you well. Please post any targets after you lay your hands on it....

I would like to know how long and how many hoops you have to jump through for the Glock 17.....I have lived down in the South all my life and have bought a ton of firearms and all you have to do back in the 60's was to pay your money and walk away with your firearm....later on when the BATF got involved with the buying process, you fill out the 4473 form and wait and wait until you get cleared and then you can take possession of the firearm (as long as you pay for the background check - $10)....

Anyway a bunch of us would like to know what it like to live in New York and what kind of hoops a person has to go through......Thanks...Bo

Wow Dave, sad to say that's even more screwed up than Illinois (at least that part of Illinois which isn't in Chicago).  Glad you were able to grind through the muck to get it.

Wow thanks Dave - Was just wondering what the steps you must go through to obtain the firearms....yea, like Mad says they are screwed up than Illinois is.....that is why I posted the link to fox news story.....

Just like the big cities who are run by the Demo-rats, they will screw everything up for everybody....wow what every happen to the democratic party....it is too much money and power they have up in DC.....same goes for the Republicans - too much money and power.....and get tired of their saying "The American people had a right to know".....
