I just got a call from my dad. my uncle shot his index finger off. he was trying to take apart a 9MM and forgot to clear the chamber. he couldn't remember how to remove the slide and figured it might be a trigger release. BANG went his finger. the bullet went through 4 layers of desk and came to a stop on the kitchen floor. 9MM do pack a punch

it could have been a lot worse. be careful out there

Glad he is OK.

Don't wish that on anyone but he was darn lucky it wasn't worse for himself or someone else in the house.  I'm afraid he's about to learn how useful that finger was.

Ouch!!! that had to hurt and no just his pride. My Uncle shot himself in the junk 5-6 months ago. He was lucky. just grazed it and didn't hit any major blood vessels. He taught myself and my cousin firearms safety and was a drill instructor strict about it. So when you change to different holster and front carry be careful little change can cost you.
