I don't think any of us would have hesitated to drop the hammer on even the smaller one.  Heck of a find!

i saw that. what a tough way to go for such a monster. bitter sweet to find that

bo- i don't have anything 1/2 that big at my cabin. this year will be real bad. over 3' of snow since november will really take a toll. i heard once the deer get off the trails, they are over their backs in snow
