the cabin has got 30" of snow this week and it's still snowing!!!! it will be a terrible year for the deer if we don't get a big thaw. the wolves will have more than they can eat again, leaving barely eaten deer. the wolf lovers say they only kill for food, but the last time we had big snows they were killing for fun. the deer yards were full of barely eaten deer

of course, the DNR issued way too many doe tags in my area. any doe tags up there would have been too many, but one county was one of the highest in the entire state. I swear they are trying to eliminate deer up there

it's way too early for all this snow. I already have a foot here

I feel bad now for grumbling about the snow here Yari.  December 1st (yesterday) and we have our fourth measurable snow of the fall.  It's crazy, but certainly glad it's not 30"!  That certainly sounds like a big challenge for the deer herd, as I suspect most of that 30" will be there until spring at this point.

well we got half of that 15 inches but under it we had ice and sleet it will be hard for the animals to get to the nuts under there
turkey season is 1 month away
