Any of you have this gun? Planning to get one maybe tomorrow and wondering what scope to get? Don’t want to spend alot but want a good clear and dependable scope That will hold up to the recoil of this caliber in this 8# gun. By the way the recoil with the load and this gun is 20.8#s. Thanks y’all!!!!

Iswoody - Was watching a Hunting show today that they were hunting big mule deer up in Saskatchewan and they were using a 450 Bushmaster on it...Deer they shot was about 80 yards away...Surprisingly he ran off and they had to a short tracking job....

I use a Bushnell 2-7X Bone Collector on my .50 Knight muzzleloader and have been very pleased with it, but its muzzle energy as I load it is about 25% below that of the .450 BM.  Generally though a scope that is specifically marketed for slug guns or magnum muzzleloaders should serve you reasonably well.
