Yari - Deerhead and Split Toe are the ones that put all the pictures of our deer kills on the board and dates them inside the cook shack....yes they are logging the land now and the cook shack has all the comforts of home down there. The last picture is the one taken after the right knee surgery in 2012 (see picture) of one nice buck, should have let him grow another year or two.....took him with a Cooper Super Varmint single shot 308....165 gn Berger VLD...he never knew what hit him...shot another deer later on in the week a small 10 pointer, shot him about 12:50 in the afternoon....was almost asleep in the stand when I saw him, never expecting to see him, he was checking scrapes and he ran father then expected....shot him with a Rem 700 LTR 308....155 gn Berger VLD.....that was the last deer that I taken since 2012. Since the picture have lost 35 lbs and trying to keep it off.....

Thinking back over the 2019 deer season, it was a great time to be in the woods, despite the logging and the burning of the old dead tree piles.....it rained and rained and rained on us over the year and it sure like every time I would head South, it would rain some more!! but that is they call it hunting.....right!
