Mad - Thanks for the link, this is a good short article that I have been thinking about and discussing with my other shooting buddies....yes it will benefit Ruger, Remington, S&W and other manufacturers. This will hit the folks that are the supply chain to Colt that make parts for the Colt AR style rifles hard and most will have to switch to make parts for the other manufactures......

When you consider the bajillions of companies out there now who are selling complete ARs, piece parts, and subassemblies in between, it's definitely a saturated market on the supply side and hard to make money in I'm sure.  Can't blame Colt or anyone for focusing on a large/consistent customer like the military offers.

After re-thinking my position, I agree with Mad on this one, with a million other companies, Colt who makes great firearms, will not be missed in this ever expanding market.....

Yes - I down own several Colt combination - One is a very old Colt-Sauer Rifle and the other one is a Colt-Cooper.....and a few pistols like a Colt Diamond Back among others.....
