At least they admit it finally up there.....in Virginia there were two hikers attacked by a Mountain Lion two years ago this past May on the Appalachian Trail the National Forest South of Roanoke.  The hikers had photos of the big cat and the Virginia Department of Game and Fish still will not admit it was a Lion that attacked them or that they are in Virginia.

Heck 25 years ago the VDGIF was saying we did not have Coyote here either when all of the hunter throughout the State were shooting them and turning them in.

first of all, why did the guy leave that weed right in front of his trail cam ??? @--0--0117

second, that isn't far from my cabin. i've had them on cam and WI DNR wouldn't admit they were around. i think they will admit it now since there have been vids of them all over the state

another reason i carry a sidearm coming off stand at dark. shoot shovel and shut-up. -0078 -0078 -0078 i'd rather be on top of the food chain and not part of the food chain

Been seeing sign and tracks for years but the DNR would never admit they were here.    Too many people with trail cams now to deny it.

Our state officials finally acknowledged that we had them in Illinois a few years ago, but then responded by putting them on the protected list.  Like Yari, I'd apply the 3S approach.

acknowledge them so you can protect them ??? ??? ??? sounds like the DNR. pretty soon them will protect big mouth carp

did you hear the story of the wolf in Edmonton trying to kill a family for dinner? and they are hunted up there!!! they fear humans. here in the US they aren't scared. it won't be long. I just wish they hit the 10,000 libs in the pride gathering when they wrecked the national forest for a month. yes, i'm still bitter @--0--0105

That approach has worked for the Clintons...oh wait different species of cougar.

Wow - Cats and Bears are everywhere these days....we all need AR's rifles to keep us safe! What if you see them both at one time....OMG...and the team up against the hunters....

but seriously - that is good that sign, and that they are a protective species.....but hunters be aware of your surroundings!!
