let the velvet grow
« on: August 09, 2019, 04:43:43 PM »
I was pleasantly surprised when I pulled my card today. the market was squirrelly so I took a 1/2 day and worked on cams on brushing stands. I also hung 2 grape vine vertical rubs. i'll let you know how they work. I already have a pic of a buck w/ his nose on my 1st vine that wasn't a grape vine. once the velvet goes, I expect more.

I got 3 cams total at my folks place now and I put fresh water in the tanks. i'm in good shape at their place

this is a buck that looks a lot like my 2018 buck. I think it's the 10 pt that was all busted up last year. he has some more inches to add, but looks good. I don't have any pics of the big 8 pt I was after last year. I hope he returns. he should be a real stud again this year

you can see a upside down 'Y' vine I hung

Yari, sometimes I crop the photo to eliminate as much of the non essential content and then shrink the image.  Need to get the file size below 100kb I believe

Its not the dimensions of the file in question it's the size on the disk.  If you use something like irfanview it will shrink the file size proportionately as you resize the image.

You can try saving it as a lower quality image or try a different image format to get the size down.

Definitely nice bucks.  Yari, I email pictures to myself, and the process automatically resizes the pics

I would tend to agree.  The racks always look so massive in the velvet, but still he has good height and decent width.  A nice one for sure.

I saw a fawn from the office today that lost 1/2 of it's spots already. it must have been a long rut. I have a tiny fawn on cam last week that looked maybe a month old.

9/14 I believe is the WI bow opener!!!!! man I have a lot to do.  --7-8-9 --7-8-9 --7-8-9 --7-8-9

October 1 is our opener, and I really need to get rolling too.  Need to move a couple of stands and get shooting.
