Humans have about 5 million olfactory scent receptors. Deer have 297 million. Dogs, by comparison, have 220 million scent receptors. Point being, if you don’t pay attention to your scent control you should. Scent control or what I like to call “gear hygiene” is a process.

Absolutely, the numbers don't lie.  Hard to believe how much better those critters do with their noses than us humans but it pays off to manage your gear and the wind when you're out there.
One of God's greatest gifts to us is
the great outdoors - get out there
and enjoy it!

Thanks for the wise words or wisdom. After this weekend (it was work weekend down at the GA Hunt Club) I think I will be packing some extra clothes this year, one for the cook shack and keep my hunting clothes hanging outside where they below and only bring them in when I get dressed in them for hunting.....

I found refraining from Hot Dogs with Kraut, Beans, Corn and beer the night before a hunt to be an effective odor control technique  --099-780
