lotw musky trip
« on: July 12, 2019, 07:34:12 PM »
I just got back. it was a tough, but always fun trip. we had thick smoke 2 days, mayfly hatches, algae blooms, 5-6" thunder storm, two 15+ mph wind days... it was changing every day. we scratched out 8 musky. the biggest was only 44". we only saw 2 fish that may have pushed the 50" mark.

my buddy got netter of the year awards. he netted a 41" fish in mid air. it was very goofy. he was a little excited. I don't know why? he netted all 8 fish. yep, that's right. he couldn't keep a fish hooked. I tried my best to  give advise, but being a stubborn german he got defensive. (FYI i'm 1/2 german so I know what I speak --099-780) he took it in stride and we got some yuks

we saw another 60-70# beaver that looked like a bear. what a pig. not many deer. winter/wolves really knocked them down.

all in all, we had a blast just goofy off. I only see him this trip. he's never been married at 58. quiet a unique dude

Stubborn German????  Come on now Yari, we're not all that stubborn.  It's you crazy Italians that just make us look stubborn.   --099-780 --099-780

Glad you caught a few fish and didn't have any major issues.  One day this week that smoke was pushing all the way down here, must have been a heck of a fire.

Glad you guys caught a few fish, always fun to hit the water with a group of friends. Sometimes that weather and mother nature can put a damper on things!
