Used mine yesterday as we had friends over.  We swam in the pool and I cooked burgers and corn on the big green egg.

I have several versions of Thermacell devices. I have always been an advocate. So much better than spays.

They just came out with Tick Tubes. You space them out on your property to keep ticks at bay!

The tick tubes are a great idea if you ask me. I need to see a price you may be able to make them yourself.

Check out the video. They impregnate the cotton(?) balls with something the field mice take back , ingest and the chemical gets in their blood stream and kills the blood sucking tick

Save up the toilet paper tubes, a couple bags of cotton balls and the chemical mentioned in the video and you should be tick free in no time. You might need to go to the pet store to buy yourself some mice to get started if you don't have a mouse problem. Keep the cat it a cage so it doesn't eat the mice you just poisoned and you should be tick free. I guess you aren't to hunt outside the circle around you house?  @--0--0129

Was at the Tennessee Game on Tuesday and met a guy who never hear of Thermacell! Wow, thought everybody did! but somehow we got to talking about our wives, comparing notes and I was telling him that I don't leave home without it!! Like what is said by others here.....

But I quickly pulled out my semi-smart phone and showed him on Amazon....matter of fact ordered more refills of the Thermacell and they will be here tomorrow...more for the woods....not going to bet busty by a deer this year....but may need a bigger pack for all the crap that I am taking with the woods....
