While I was getting back into the gun room ran across these pictures taken in 1985, 34 years ago, wow, where has the time gone!! The first picture is of all of my rifles I had at that time....Still own most of the rifles, sold off the two Remington's in the middle, both were 300 Win Mag....The second picture is/was my computer back in the day.....have traded it up all except the Sony Radio sitting on top of the monitor, still have it today and take it with me down to the hunt club every year....think I have only changed batteries in the darn thing only two time in over 40 years since I bought it....and the third photo is of the 1988 Nissan 300ZX, those were the good old days.....

It's always a good time going through old pictures, sometimes it even gets the old memory bank running full speed just like it was yesterday. Thanks for sharing, I had to chuckle at the old floppy discs and the sofa that looks a lot like one of mine from the day.  @--0--0104

Deerhead - We take her out on the weekends only, we even built a garage big enough to house her in.....we take the T-Tops out and go on our short trips.....I like that I found the computer picture from 1985...LOL....

Those rifle picture was the first one with my lighting equipment that I bought for my Nikon 35mm and Medium formats. The rifles picture then I don't on BAR in 308 or the two Remington 700 BDL in 300 Win Mag either. but I made up for them with the 300 Win Mag Sendero (the original blue one) and the Winchester Laredo with a boss on the end of the barrel, both shoot amazing good, both are heavy barrels ....both have been out West with me as well, boy are they heavy but deadly accurate....

The BAR never gave it a chance, this was my second 308 and got it in a trade from a guy who was going though a divorce....I was going through a single shot or bolt action and did not get into the semi-auto Rifle craze....but today I do own several AR10's and a FNAR in 308, all are semi-auto and they all shoot amazing good, enough to take down a deer even at 300 yards....that is how far I would shoot at one with those.....sighted in at 1" high at 100, it will be only 12" low at 300 and only 4" at 200......

Still in the market for several rifles of course, one is a Ruger No.1V in 280 Rem, it is a single shot with a heavy varmint barrel on it, Ruger only made this rifle for a couple of years....found on one time but it the sale was pending and never saw it since.....Still in the market for another 6.5 CM probably a Bergara M14 this year before hunting season starts also saw a Ruger M77 Hawkeye Tactical with a 20" barrel in 223....topped off with a Vortex Strike Eagle should be a shooter....that will run me around 750 with it all set up....

Don't have any photos of mine either.  Started out with a '68 Chevy 3/4 ton (2WD) in the mid 80's, then bought a used '90 Silverado extended cab 4WD in the early 90's, then a new '00 Silverado, then the '11 Suburban & now the '18 Sierra. Needs have changed a bit over the years, but a 4WD pickup is still a very handy tool for me and probably will be for some time to come (hopefully a long time).

Nice walk down memory lane Bo....I know you wish you still had the Browning Bar .308 The biggest mistake I ever made was letting TT (Terry Trollinger) God rest his soul, talk me out of my BAR in the 30-06, for a semi-auto loader it was a tack driver. I did replace it with the stainless A-Blot in the .280 in 1995 and never really looked back.

Yari so true my mind tells me I'm still 20 but the old body says oh h--- no. No complaints though it's been a wonderful ride...and I'm still truck'in just a little slower... @--0--0105
