Breaking the ice
« on: June 03, 2019, 12:22:31 AM »
Well it looks like I get to be first. Ive been seeing one for a few weeks now just haven't been able to get a shot, it either runs off too quick or the roads behind it. Well not this time, saw her standing in the weeds while a little one was in the yard. Figured momma was the way to go, hopefully the little ones keep coming out and dont get wise to the game.

Good job! I haven't been seeing woodchucks so far. I may have to wait til the mulberries ripen.

Once my mulberries ripen the coons just flock to them, good thing coons aren't counted because I dont think anyone could keep up with me.

I don't care if they count or not. I would shoot them anyway.

Wife's weapon of choice for possums is the pitchfork, second choice is a five gallon bucket over the top of them with a cinder block on top and a note on the counter for me to deal with it when I get home (Yari - I had one of those waiting for me when I got back from our ice fishing trip).

Have had two sightings of a woodchuck now just a couple of miles from me - - he better not wander over here.  And yeah, with all the rain our mulberry trees are loaded - the coons will be fat and slow, better keep my .22 handy.

Congrats on getting the contest underway!

Yeah Yari it does seem a bit odd, but I don't question it when she's pointing that thing at me!
