Md 2019 turkey camp
« on: April 22, 2019, 11:21:52 AM »
We got off to a good start my buddy shot a 23 lb bird with 1 1/4 in spurs and a 12 1/4 in beard the first day!!! I heard 1 gobble on the lower end of the same farm. Day 2 my other bud from Pa missed at 6:30 am He said the Gobbler looked like it had a banana hanging on his chest  --099-780. Me nothing to work @--0--0117. Day 3 I hunt another farm and worked 2 birds my Pa bud whacks a nice gobbler and my other buddy missed one. The birds are henned up big time around here they gobble once on the roost and fly down to a bunch of hens. So they are hard to locate I have been just walking and calling sitting and listening. I am headed to PA this Friday maybe I'll have some luck.

Good luck in PA, I saw a few at camp last weekend along with a sow and her little cub strolling down the back roads. I'll be headed to camp again on Thursday for the start of our thunderchicken season.
