Fishing with the Game Warden
« on: April 04, 2019, 07:13:07 AM »
Nope not the kinda of fishing Jerry Clower spoke of, but with an actual rod and reel.  We landed 8 nice slabs (over 10") and an additional 2 that got off right at the boat.  They were full of eggs and still seemed another 10 days before ready to spawn.  After filleting them and cleaning up, we celebrated with chili dogs with all the trimmings.  The boat did fantastic on it's maiden voyage.  That little 30hp Mercury will get up and go.  It planed out nicely too.  Lake Eufaula has a limit of 37 crappie with no size limit.

Those look pretty good, even better after fried to a nice golden color!  Definitely fat.  Looks like all white crappies?  That's what we mostly see here too but generally have some blacks mixed in.

Nice fish. Glad to hear the boat did well. I am sure Jerry caught more fish but you did have to use a rod!! --099-780 --099-780
