Last time I entered a hunting contest was with Buckmasters. Big mistake! I had them calling me nearly everyday wanting me to join Buckmasters. They would call and sound real friendly, ask how my hunting season went, etc a nd all they wanted to do was sell me a subscription. Thanks Flint, but I'll pass on this one!

I'm with you on this one Bearclaw, I still get calls from them about one or two times a year now. I haven't been associated with Buckmasters in nearly 7 or 8 years now. All of these online contest are about collection your data and passing or selling it to other shady organizations, and that's how the hoax phone calls and unwanted or unsolicited emails start and it's nearly impossible to stop them.

The guy I talked with had a Southern Accent, had me talking away until renewal came up.  Good-Bye!  Not had a call in over 7-8 years.

I hope that sponsor does not do things like Buckmasters

I do like the Buckmasters magazine, going to their convention in Montgomey ( in August !) but do agree their telemarketing is crap

Flint, No disrespect meant to you on my reply. Just hit a trigger in me because the telemarketers pretended they were interested in my season when in fact that were not. I just don't like being lied to and my passion for hunting being used against me to subscribe to them.

None taken. I think we all hate Buckmasters telemarketing!

It was a family tradition to attend Buckmasters in August (!) in Montgomery.

We loved the display/sales booths, the Archery contest they show on TV much later, and the free Concert on the last night of the event. Some up and coming Country Stars played there! Nice comedy show too.

I hope this other deal does not become a telemarketing scam. Hopefully not with the big name folks you can win a hunt with. Their reputation wil also be in the line if it becomes a telemarketing scam

I don't have any luck with drawings like this either.  And, like most everyone else, I'm not a fan of the non-stop telemarketing.  It's a shame too.  Maybe one day they might figure out less is better.
There is nothing more beautiful than sitting in a treestand watching the world come alive.
A bad day of hunting is better than any day at work.
