I got an email from vortex. it looks like they really upgraded their top end optics. they have a 5000 yrd RF/bino now(1600 yrds for deer). they also have a new top end scope.

it's amazing how this market has blown up at a time when hunting numbers are going down

Yari - Got the same email and a personal email from a inside contact there....I'm sure it was sent out to thousands of customers, I'm not special...LOL...

But got the Diamondback Scope in 4-12X x 40mm with BDC reticule, will wait to I get the Leupold Freedom 3-9X x 50mm to do a side-by-side comparsion.....

And just think had a original Crossfire 6.5-20X x 40mm through Optic Planet for $99......

It was in the lower 70's here today and went outside to look though the Vortex, wow, it is still impressive...the Leupold should be here tomorrow or Monday at the latest...will wait to see how it stacks up against the Vortex....as I said before they both cost $200 apiece.....

I will take at least three rifles to the range with me when I go. The 280 in the Savage-Shilen Model 10 with it Sig Sauer Whiskey 3 on it and the Christensen Arms 6.5 with the Leupold VX5-HD and the Custom 7mm STW with the Vortex Viper 4-16X on it, this is the second Viper 4-16X that I have gotten over the past three years....Plan on taking these three to the range with me next week.....or maybe later on in the week....

The 7mmSTW with the Vortex Viper will be the challenge to try and figure out what it likes to shoot either the heavier (175 Gn) or very light (120 Gn) bullets will start off at 50 yards, then moved out to 100 and finally out to 200 yards, but we will see....have a couple other 7mmSTW to compare them to......each rifle likes what it likes and you can tell at the range what it likes!!

I have, if I did not give it to my son for his golf game, a Leupold RF RX-1000i.

For me I have a Nikon RF just can not remember the version/model

I've got a Vortex scope and binoculars that I've been extremely pleased with. I highly recommend their products.
