I have the exact same set-up (times 2).  I love it.  Enjoy your new toy.

Enjoy that Dave - with .22 LR becoming readily available & the price dropping, we probably all need to spend some time out plinking with a few bricks of ammo & the kids/grandkids!

Congratulations, first on being good and second for acquiring a great 22 rifle.  I had one many years ago and traded it for a Winchester 67 Boys Rifle.  That was a good trade, the feller that got the Marlin thought he made a fantastic trade, gettin' an autoloader for an old single shot and I was tickled with the Boys Rifle seeing how I try to collect old Winchesters. ;)
I was good too this year, but I had to go and buy a new battery for a tractor this morning. :(

Dave - Congrats on the Marlin model 60, now you got to try to find the ammo it likes, with the standard store ammo, try buying some ELEY and some LAPUA rounds.....my groups were cut in half (and sometime more) using the good ammo...but you will pay for it....but maybe you will get a Marlin that like the Remington Yellow Jackets ??

Nice gun Dave i have had what my friends call the AK-47 of .22's for 35 years. They are accurate and shoot well with good clean ammo. I shoot Remington Golden bullets in mine with no problems. You got to keep them clean. Breakdown is really simple.Merry Christmas enjoy.
