I'm assuming it's a 270win. As pa once said this cartridge was designed around a 130 gr bullet. I've had outstanding results with Horandy's InterLock Bullets Hornady # 27302. They're polymer tip improves accuracy. But all bullets today are much better than those of decades ago. There's my 2 cents worth. A normal reply would have been several paragraphs and worth less. @--0--0121 Carry on buddy.

Horandy's InterLock is a great bullet.  I have been shooting the 270 WSM 140gn Accubond.  This bullet has performed very well and with devastating  results on whitetails.  I know there are a lot of choices out there.  Happy shopping.

The Barnes TTSX bullet is a great bullet , I shot my buck last year with it in my 7mmx08 went almost all the way through from front to rear and looked just like Barnes said it would .   ##$%#1118

Dave - the 270 Winchester is a very old round...coming up on about 95 years old!! My first 270 was a Winchester Model 70A. Like Dutch states, the 270 Win was built around the 130 gn pill and it was till the 90's that the 140 started coming onto the scene....I own four 270 Win, two 270WSM and one 270 Weatherby...all of which has their own personalities....all of them have 1 / 10" twist in their barrels...

The four regular 270's Winchester, three of them like the 130 gn and one likes the 140 gn, the two 270 WSM both of those group better using the 140 gn pills and the 270 Weatherby in a Ruger No.1B likes the 130 gn...I have tried all four loads on them the 100gn, the 130, the 140 and the 150 gn loads in all of my 270's...and the pill Sundowner recommended, you have a second on that, the Barnes TTSX pill is a deep penetration pill that will go right through a Deer and Elk, Kudu, Waterbuck and almost through 2 Zebra's. It did not go through a Blue Wildebeest but almost did....

Dave my advice to find out what your 270 Win likes, which bullet weight and then the bullet configuration....then go from there.....
