I have a friend that has some physical issues and can't shoot a compound but can shoot a crossbow. The only problem is he can't pull the string back either manually or with a cocking device. He has a friend that lives close and hunt together. His friend cocks the crossbow for him and he can still hunt. Works for them and they make a great team! For a follow up shot they have to hunt close together!

Sorry  to hear that, Dave. Getting old is not for the weak of heart.  We just don't bounce back quite as quickly as we did when we were younger. Of course, you can't anythingabout the weather, hunting conditions, etc, those you just have to learn to live with those situations.  My season has been a weird one, too.  Hunted for 2-1/2 days and saw just 5 deer. Most were smaller deer and too far away. The buck I bagged, was small and almost considered passing him up.  Glad I didn't.  Thank God, I was able to make a good shot and find him within a short time.  Still have a doe tag, and a few days til the late doe season is over.  Let's see what happens. So hang in there, nect season will be a new season and hopefully things will go better for you.

You will feel like a new man when the elbow is fully healed. Game critters, take notice, he will be back!
