Parke Bows out of Business - just got this email today
« on: December 17, 2018, 05:37:21 PM »

Dear Sir or Madam:

Parker Bows has made the difficult decision to cease operations. We have explored what we believe to be all possible options to continue operations in one form or another but to no avail. It has truly been an honor to have been a part of your hunting seasons for over two decades. And it is hard to put into words what your loyalty and support has meant to us.

Effective as of the date of this email (December 17, 2018), all Parker and Red Hot branded products sold will be without a warranty regardless of statements on the packaging or in owner’s manuals. We will make every effort to honor existing warranty claims for items received at our Staunton, Virginia headquarters on or before December 31, 2018.

Before returning any item for warranty service, please call 540-337-5426 to speak with a customer service representative and obtain a Return Authorization Number. Items received after December 31, 2018 will be refused.

As we wind down our operations, please check our website, social media pages, future emails and with your local dealer for special offers and announcements.

Thank you,

Tom Woodworth

I got that email today, shock and sadden. They just delivered a rope cocker bag and bolt puller/ knock extinguisher with 25% discount. I have the BuckBuster and Concorde crossbows, both are great. Maybe the over anticipated Concorde demand and set price too high, not sure if their lifetime warranty sunk them too.

Yeah I kind of wonder how things are going to settle out in the Xbow industry in a few years.  Seems like all of a sudden there are a bunch of people trying to sell their stuff for $1000 give or take a couple of Benjamins, while others are selling reasonably high performing Xbows for 300-ish.  For the bulk of the hunters/shooters out there I think it will be tough to justify that 2-3X price for a little better performance/a little better warranty.  I have no doubt that they're selling good stuff, just question whether they can get enough of the market to come to them to make it viable.

$458 direct for the Concorde down from ~$1,100 when launched. It is a heavy CB but the Co2 load/unload feature is unique and great. I also have the Buckbuster, manual bur extremly light.

Both are center ring perfect when sighted in.

Not much of solace to Parker employees as Virginia follow Federal process

https://www.employmentlawhandbook.com/federal-employment-and-labor-laws/warn/

I hope someone comes in to buy them
