mad- not surprised at all. the quarters aren't that tight. heck i bring up a 42" rod. now that is too big for inside, but it's always nice to have the biggest rod in the house --099-780 --099-780 ##$%#13

I did find another shimano 2000 series I will bring. it will work, but if you have any smaller reels they would be smoother.

In the spinning reel department I have a light weight Browning to bring along and also a medium weight if needed.  Assume those will work reasonably well?

bring them. they will work. you never know if you need a spare. if we tie into a sturgeon, laker or northern they can burn up a reel pretty quick. I really hope we do. they are all a blast, but rare.

i'm heading up a week from today. I can't wait. I wish I could get out 1 time before I go for a gear check, but the ice has been iffy here. i'll figure it out.
