OK Hunting Report
« on: November 17, 2018, 07:36:56 PM »
Today was the rifle opener in Oklahoma.  Between hunting in the blind in the morning and "hunting at the house" the remainder of the day, I have never seen a larger variety of game species while hunting: 11 does, 5 bucks (2 possible shooters), 7 geese, 7 ducks, 5 quail, 3 fox squirrels, 2 coyotes and 1 bobcat.  This does not include the multiple pileated woodpeckers, cormorants, etc.  What an awesome day!  Additionally, we only heard a very few shots in the distance...

...and yes I dropped the female coyote!

sounds like fun. I had a does coming through an over grown pasture following a cat. i'm guessing a feral cat. she was only 2-3 steps behind it. seemed odd

no shots at the bigger bucks? what about the yotes?

I had several different yotes sound off at dust tonight. they weren't close enough or I would have called. I got one by the house this week. way too many

At least, you didn't have a chance to get bored. Congrats on the yote!
