orange army
« on: November 16, 2018, 04:55:00 PM »
the WI orange army is hitting the road. WI gun season starts 11/17. I stopped at fleet farm. I can't believe the people just buying ammo, clothes, guns(YES GUNS) hunting licenses….  seriously? talk about last minute. i'm sure they will get hammered tonight and forget to take the tags off. the guns will never get sighted in.

i'm all about getting people involved, but this is scary. I don't feel safe w/ some of these folks. wow --7-8-9 --7-8-9

good luck to all and most of all, be safe driving and in the woods. there are a ton of weekend warriors out there that are clueless

Those are not real hunters.  Real hunters are thinking and breathing deer hunting a long time before the actual season starts.

I agree with Michigan Louie. It's little unsettling thinking these are the people that will be in the woods with us. What are they thinking? They will probably shoot at anything that moves as well! Be careful!

Yeah, you gotta like those clowns - fortunately most of them will only endanger themselves falling out of trees, getting stuck, etc, but an errant rifle shot travels a long way . . . .

It is amazing how hunters orange shows up while it's still dark, out.  Way back when I hunted on public land, I could see hunters walking out to their stands.  Couldn't dustinguish the bushes, etc, but you sure could see their hats and jackets moving through the darkness.

That maybe why I like the early bow season in our state. Very few hunters and the deer are not disturbed by the 'army'.

Yeah, I much prefer going into the woods focused on the game I'm after, not having to worry about all of the random hunter wannabes who only touch that weapon once a year.  Blessed to have access to private land where I know everyone else who is out there (at least the ones who have permission to be out there - the others are another story)
