Michigan deer opener
« on: November 15, 2018, 07:23:09 AM »
This is the day many Michigan hunters have been looking forward to for quite a while. It is 8:15am 27 degrees, with a very light snow falling.  There is some snow already on the ground. So far, it's been very quiet. First shot Iheard was at 7:15 am  then about 3 more shots, just south of me, about 10 minutes later.  There were a couple of shots some time later, more to the southwest.  Apparently, someone has been seen deer, but I have not seen anything yet.  That's okay, I'm sure something will show up eventually.

I'll be out this weekend.  The beanfield I hunt over got planted with corn this year and they still haven't cut it. I can only see in one direction, a 45 yard by 10' hallway.

I did get a nice buck a few years ago (the one in my avatar pic) the last time they rotated a corn crop, so you never know.  Its just hard to sit when you cant see much.

I will let you all in a secret.  My blind is about 40 yds from the house. So our wifi reaches the blind, but there is no power out there..........at least not yet.

Climax looks like a great town on google maps. Reminds me a lot of western Alabama. Just less snow in Bama  @--0--0106
