Dead Sled
« on: October 01, 2018, 06:26:23 PM »
I pulled out a piece of gear last week that I have never used. It is called the Dead Sled for dragging deer out of the woods. Not even sure if I have seen these in the catalogs anymore. I was missing the ropes and straps but finally found them. Put it together and seems like it should work. Anyone have on or use one?

Bear - No, Metal Man made a deer cart you can pull behind your ATV, we use that for most of our deer....he will bring it down and leave it at camp for most of the season...just in case.....

Helped a friend drag a deer out on one of those about 15 years ago. It was one of the roll up ones, not one that looked like a kid's toboggan.  We were on dry ground rather than snow.  Probably pulled easier than not having anything under it at all.
