ATN X-Sight II 3x14x HD - Update
« on: October 20, 2018, 02:57:49 PM »
Well been thinking about getting one of these scopes for my M-4 and my 20" Grendel and this week closed the deal . I'm going through the learning curve with the scope but it looks like this scope is going to be fun to use . will be posting update on it as I get to use it more . Got it for the hog hunt in TX next spring .  ##$%#1118

Very nice.  Lots of options on that scope.

Sundowner - When I got my night vision scope, it can down to this one (ATN) and the Sightmark. I went with the Sightmark simple because of of the accessories that came with it....either night vision is a good scope for it purpose, it is not a Thermal scope, if it was you could add about $2 to $3 grand to the price for a good thermal scope...I got an illuminator with mind. it is good to about 200 to 300 yards, with the Sightmark and the Armasight XLR-1850 infrared it is quiet the set up...have it on a Shilen 223 Upper with a Armalite Lower...this is a great set up....

Bo sounds like a great setup , I also have a M-4 upper that I will also setup with this scope . I was also looking for a scope for the yardage range and this one can store 6 different cartage profiles so I will be able to use it on more than 1 rifle , in fact they are using it with crossbows also .  ##$%#1118

Bo here's a picture of the gun and scope . As you can see I also bought the rechargeable battery pack , this scope loves power and a set of 4 AA batteries only last a hour which I knew ahead of time so I got a 20000 mha pack which will give me 20 hours of use between .    ##$%#1118

Sundowner - Another great idea, thanks for the picture....I use the 16000 mhA battery pack on my Labradar....it loves to eat batteries!!! What I have done was to put extra AA batteries in my case and a Acog Style Scope in my case as a back up just in case to the Sightmark.....here is a picture of mine rifle.....

I have the vortex scope that was on mine as a backup , it's on Nikon rings that just slide on the rail and tighten down after I put the pins in and it ready to go .  I may upgrade the Vortex to a Athlon Argos btr next year .  ##$%#1118

Well have had it to the range twice since the last post and here is a report on both of them . The first time I had it on the 100yard range where I found that when you zoom the scope up to high power that the image is not the best but the scope worked well at that range when I used my spotting scope to see where the bullets hit the target , but as the old saying goes read the manual first which lead to the second time at the range . This time I used the 85 yard range , and this time I was able to zero both the 95gr V-Max and the 120gr ELD-M bullets with their own profiles in the scope , after deer hunting is over I will try the scope on my 223 M-4 and set in up for some night hunts on the yotes at the cousins farm . Will be interesting to see if I can take videos of my deer hunt and yote hunt with the scope that's the next thing I am going to set up on the scope .  ##$%#1118
