Opening day
« on: September 09, 2018, 04:23:34 PM »
Yesterday. Tired from a long week at work so I went out in the afternoon in lieu of the AM.

Up in stand not 20 minutes and a nice sized doe showed up. Took her about hour to get in an open spot for a clear shot at 20 or so yards.

 Aimed, shot, missed.

Something totally wrong with my Parker crossbow.

I sent Parker an email and will send it back as nothing to adjust worked at the Pro Shop. Raining and cold today so I stayed in.

With bad weather for this week into next weekend, no hunting for me. I have my Parker Buckbuster as back up as I figure sending the Concorde CB back will take time.

Flint - sounds like maybe a scope gone bad?  I assume all of the basics like mount screws, frayed strings or cables, etc were evaluated?  Man, at 20 yards you should be able to pick which hair you want to slice on the way in.  I assume you shot it more afterwards at the pro shop - was it consistently off in one direction?

Hang in there, you'll get more shots.  Practice a bit with your backup weapon to make sure it's doing what you want it to.

It was fine, sent it back to Parker. Life time wareanty.

New crossbow arrived the other day.

I will use my pull version CB for Saturday morning and shoot in the Concorde at targets in the mid day and use it if I dont get a doe on Saturday morning.

I bet it shoots fine as they would have tested it before mailing back, but i want to check it out first and adjust the scope for my old eyes
