You are right sundowner, it seems pretty late for newly hatched poults, but nothing surprises me anymore. The ones I have seen around here lately are getting really big. I'm heading to camp again today, hopefully I will come across a few or maybe even get a picture or two of them.

Oh yea they are late. All of the poults around here are 10 inches tall or better.

Yesterday saw a group while out counting deer.  Yes, that's what us southern folk do.  Ride and see who can count the most deer.   ;D

Wife called out Turkeys and looked over at pasture and it was full of Turkeys of all sizes.  Must had been at least three batches together, they were about three different ages and Mama hens were chasing them to cover.

I messed up today. I was going out to shoot my bow and let my golden out at the same time. there had to be at least 12 poults and 2-3 adults. there were poults flying all over. they were about the size of a grouse. it's about time. I was wondering where they all were

The two hens I have been watching came in yesterday morning.  There was a 3rd hen with her chicks, so there were 24 turkeys altogether.
