Mayhem Ranch strikes again!
« on: July 11, 2018, 10:14:00 AM »
Sometimes a plan goes accordingly as planned and other times it doesn't.  Luckily for me, it was spot on this time.  I placed the hog I shot yesterday morning about 225-250 yards from the house down a nice shooting lane.  As I was drinking coffee on the back porch watching my dog play with the deer on the other side of the fence, I noticed buzzards beginning to encroach on the hog.  I decided to do some odds and ends around the house when 20 minutes later I look in the hog's direction and notice the buzzards were scattered.  I grabbed the binos and sure enough there she was tugging on the backside of the hog.  I ran to the safe, grabbed the .204, placed it on the back of a chair, squeezed the trigger and down she went.

1st pic is me and the coyote, 2nd pic is exactly how it looked when I reached them, 3rd pic is the hog in the foreground with my house in the background for referencing the shot
