DNR gave to public pressure.
« on: May 17, 2018, 03:05:27 PM »
Indiana DNR gave to the do gooders and closed the possibility of a bobcat season.

We have so many down here in southern Indiana that our turkeys are few and far between and will not talk for fear of being attacked by a bobcat. I even had one attack my decoy last year!

When they  start eating peoples cats and dogs And attacking young kids then maybe they will take notice!!

I'm with Bluetoe also!  Oklahoma has a 20 bobcat limit.

Wow, 20?  You guys must really have a lot of them.  The Illinois limit is 1, if you are fortunate enough to draw one of the few tags they issue.

Those cats are pretty fascinating the first time you see one in the wild, but once you see how much impact they have on the turkey & rabbit population, they quickly fall from favor.

Yeah, they are an extremely effective predator.  I've watched them in my backyard chase squirrels up trees and then come down with a mouth full of squirrel.
