Sadly saw my first fawn today

It's sad because this 2 day old was road kill , please be on the lookout for them , their first reaction to danger is to freeze .  ##$%#1118

I'm with PJ, we are forgoing any additional bushhogging until late June due to fawns and ground nesting birds (quail and turkey).

I don't like seeing road killed deer, much less if it is a fawn.  Haven't seen any fawns around here yet.  Most likely to see one around mid June.  Remember a few years ago, had three does walk through my yard in one week.  One had one fawn, the 2nd one two fawns, and the 3rd one, had triplets!
Don't ask the Lord to guide your steps, unless you're willing to move your feet.

Yep, about time to start seeing them.  Was seeing lots of does here at the house for the last couple of months, but almost nothing in recent days.  I suspect the dominant expecting does have driven off the others and are about to drop fawns.  I probably need to get out there and do some coyote calling with some fawn distress sounds.
