Ammunition giant Hornady is cutting off government buyers in New York over an order by New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo to financial services companies regarding gun politics.

Maybe not, they recently  picked up a contract to supply the FBI with 9mm +P.

Good to see some companies making a stand.

I absolutely applaud Hornady's efforts to call "BS" on Cuomo's pathetic and underhanded efforts to destroy those he disagrees with.  Sadly, Cuomo will only welcome Hornady's response as yet one more way to "hurt the evil gun industry" - he'll feel like a winner.  Best possible outcome would be for every potential supplier to follow in Hornady's footsteps, but you know sooner or later NY will find a way to buy something even if it is from some offshore provider of questionable quality and integrity.  In that case he's not only hurting US firearm companies but also law enforcement and the citizens they're expected to protect.

Cuomo and all of his mindset are a serious plague on this country.  Vote them out.

The ultimate question now will be...Who will be selling ammo to New York? And how will that ammo manufacturer be perceived by the industry?

Hornady will survive and I applaud them for making this statement to liberals. However I donít think they sold much to them at regular price Iím sure it had to be deeply discounted to compete with reloaders that sell to gov. The Dept I work for uses the cheapest they can purchase from suppliers like Atlanta reloaders that sell to several dept around here. They provide bulk practice and carry ammo at really discounted prices. I buy from them as well to be able to afford to shoot. I do use hornady in most of rifles great stuff.

Metalman - Agree with you that Hornady will survive not selling to any New York liberals....they are big and they are everywhere and every show you watch ....am must admit that I own a bunch of Hornady bullets, they are like Sierra Prohunter or Nosler Ballistic tips and a few others that are good for the money and make up a bunch of my hunting bullets....

Did not know that about your old department? hummm....interesting fact.....thanks for sharing that with us.....
