Have been watching this for a while and all of us had wonder about the future of Cabela's and their products. This article deals with the employee only at the Sydney Store and give you a glimpse into what Bass Pro was/is thinking about the Cabela's employee.....humm...any comments....

It was only a matter of time.  They can not carry duplication of services.  The parent company always wins.  I just hope they continue to supply customers with the Cabela's quality line of product.

i know BPS did an analysis between them and CAB. what is showed was BPS was doing roughly the sale revenue/profit w/ something like 1/3 fewer employees. IMO it's a business decision

i can tell you that most of the employees in the the local CAB aren't very knowledgeable. i very seldom find anyone helpful. maybe it's the nature of the business, but i don't go to CAB unless i already did my research. i don't expect help there
