they know they got you. my rental car in HI has an additional 50% in fees above the rental rate. it drives me nuts, but we drive everywhere and like the freedom to move around

A lot like the extra fees on airline tickets, buying a new car, etc - the "advertised price" normally doesn't really tell the full story.
One of God's greatest gifts to us is
the great outdoors - get out there
and enjoy it!
