My evolution began with a smooth bore 12GA Savage single shot shotgun.

I moved up to Marlin 336W 30.30 topped with a Simmmos 4 power scope.

Next was Remington 700SS 30.96 30.06 which I used for decades. Topped with a Leupold 3x9x50 mm when 50mm was the new thing

Then i moved over to archery, then crossbow.

I even got a Remington and CVA muzzleloader but never had the chance to hunt deer with it, just take it to the range.

Mossberg 835 12ga Ultimag was my go to Turkey gun, the biggest Tom I ever got was with that shotgun.

I moved over to Beretta 12 Ga semi auto as, when I ‘matured’ , the MOSSBERG would pound me into next week! 🙀

I have  let to get a turkey with the Beretta but is sure don't kick like the Mossberg.

Of late it had been the Parker Buckbuster and most recently the Parker Cincorde cross bow i use. The buckbuster dropped a lot of deer! The Concorde is new this  year but no luck on getting to shoot a deer this season
