where i was going w/ this is he's completely nocturnal to. only moving 9PM to 3 AM. the cold weather dutch is talking about might get him moving early. we'll see.

I might be able to get out with the bow a hunt or two before the season ends but Im not sure. Either way, its OK. I know that building my cabin ate up most of my hunting season and I knew that going in...

There's always next year.  You will get a lot more use out of that cabin than you will a few pounds of venison.

I got out Saturday evening for the first time in weeks with my X-bow, didn't see a thing except for an army of very talkative red squirrels (didn't shoot any but it was sure tempting).  Strange year - haven't been seeing many as I'm driving to-from work this fall, not much on my game cams here at home, and not many while in the woods either.  Few years ago we had a terrible bout with EHD which really took a toll on the herd, but things seemed to be bouncing back and I haven't heard any of the neighbors talking about finding dead ones, so ?? May be just my imagination on the numbers or maybe yotes or some other factor is in play around here?
One of God's greatest gifts to us is
the great outdoors - get out there
and enjoy it!
