Both sides of the story
« on: November 21, 2017, 11:52:15 AM »
It's important to look at things from multiple perspectives they say . . . .
Got both of these pictures here at home earlier this month, one on the north end of my 10 acres, the other on the south a few days later.  Haven't seen this dude in the daylight, he looks very similar to one I saw several times last year, but who knows.  Still have one bow tag & a muzzleloader tag for our area, so if I do happen to see him . . . .

I think he was sticking his tongue out at me in one, and mooning me in the other.  I'll show him!    --099-780 @--0--0105 ##$%#114

Finally got to see him this morning as I was leaving for work.  At about 6:45 as I was pulling out of the driveway I see a deer silhouetted on a ridge in the picked cornfield across the road, about 400 yards out there.  Grabbed my binos & sure enough, it was this dude.  A couple of weeks ago I saw a big bodied deer chasing a doe at about 8:30 in the morning across this same field.  He was too far off to see the rack, but really laboring to catch up with his girlfriend, blowing steam at every jump.  Probably the same deer.  Wish I had a good camera with me this morning, he was standing out there like the king of the world.  Maybe he'll do something really crazy and show up behind the house this weekend (IL gun season rolling again this weekend).
