Late rut?

Seems to be the state of affairs here. Minimal activity.

I wonder  what is going on this season?

Here in the western part of Maryland there are bucks running everywhere. I have lots on my camera. The bigger ones at night but lots of smaller ones during the day. Hope they continue until opening day next Saturday!

I feel the rut is about 2 -3 weeks behind here in DE.  Weather was very warm and it seems now there is a lot of chasing but I've also noticed it's smaller bucks do the chasing which is normal but haven't  seen any bucks locked down with does.  Looking forward to the MD season which starts Sat after Thanksgiving.  Usually it's post rut.

Could be that the bucks are in the lock down part of the rut , they will stay with the same doe sometimes for days to service her , this could be whats happening by you now .  ##$%#1118

They were chasing hard here on the 15th, never saw a buck today so not sure.   The temps are dropping which usually seems to help
