Heading to the cabin
« on: November 08, 2017, 06:11:36 AM »
I havent done much hunting this season. Between the warm weather and building the cabin, deer hunting just wasnt in the cards. However, I will be going to the cabin today and staying for 11 days or until I tag out. 2 days of bow then 9 days of rifle season. OK... yes, my cabin is only 12 miles from the house and its the same distance to the lease from either home or the cabin... thats not the point.  Need a little camp time to get into the spirit of things... Now that the cabin is done, except for flooring, i can stay in comfort. Tonight will be the first night stayed there...

If that was my cabin (I assume that is what you have been building) I would sell my house and move into that!  That is awesome! Great work! Enjoy your time at camp and hopefully put some meat in the freezer. What a place to come home to after a long day in the woods!!

This is the cabin I have been building and the wife suggested selling the house and moving here. However, I have way to much junk to move into a 600 square foot cabin.. LOL

For those who missed it, I pretty much chronicled the whole cabin build here http://www.talkhuntin.com/index.php?topic=45316.0

Sounds like a plan.

I want the next pic to be a nice deer hanging outside it. Have you put in a buck pole yet?

Good luck!!

no cleaning station at the cabin yet. We have a decent setup in my shop at home so we do it there for now...  we are getting some great buck pics and it seems like the rut is getting started so I am optimistic..   will update on this thread since I do have internet at the cabin.

Good luck on the hunt HM, and glad to hear you're taking some time to enjoy that cabin you've worked so hard on - looks great.
